Academic Center for Excellence

A modern educational space with students and instructors working collaboratively at tables. The room has an open layout with whiteboards, large windows, and bright orange and blue accent walls. Groups of students are engaged in discussions, writing, and using laptops, while others are seated individually. The space is well-lit, with pendant lights and natural lighting.

How to get started for in person or live virtual tutoring sessions:

The Academic Center for Excellence offers currently enrolled students:

In person tutoring in RCF 340. ACE welcomes walk-ins but strongly advises that students make appointments. Walk in appointments are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Make an appointment.

The Academic Center for Excellence also offers skills workshops to boost essential skills such as taking notes, test taking, memory building, writing research papers, and time management, as well as hour-long math review sessions that correspond with specific units in HCC math courses.

In Person Tutoring Info

Virtual online tutoring is offered in one of two ways.
- 24/7 tutoring and support through Brainfuse, which is accessed with your HCC logon credentials.
- Students may also receive online tutoring with our professionally-trained, friendly, and knowledgeable HCC tutors by booking an appointment.
HCC also offers on-demand math video tutorials that correlate to specific HCC courses.
