Dual Enrollment for Private, Homeschooled and Out-of-County Students

• Please complete an HCC application.
• After submission, open your application and go to the Supplemental Items tab. Upload the Dual Enrollment Signature Form, signed by the applicant, parent, and curriculum coordinator. The form is available for download in the Supplemental Items tab. For your convenience, the form is also linked below. Please allow up to 72 hours for processing.

Dual Enrollment Signature Form

• Eligible students receive a 50 percent tuition discount based on HCC's Howard County resident tuition rate during the fall, winter and spring semesters, in accordance with HCC's residency policies.
• Families are responsible for paying the discounted tuition, course and consolidated fees, and the cost of books and supplies.
• Current tuition rates and fees are available on our Pay for College web page.
• Tuition rates are subject to change each academic year.
• High school students are not eligible for federal student aid.

Will college credits earned at HCC transfer?

HCC credits will transfer to Maryland public four-year colleges and universities and most private and out-of-state colleges and universities*. HCC transfer advisors will assist students in planning for transfer to the college of their choice.

Can I count dual enrollment courses towards my high school diploma?

This is dependent upon the school or organization who will be awarding your high school diploma. Students should consult their school counselor or curriculum coordinator for options that satisfy both college and high school requirements.

Am I required to attend HCC after graduation?

While structured programs provide a clear path for completing an associate degree at HCC, the college credits earned may be transferred elsewhere.
