Created in 2005, the Frederick K. Schoenbrodt Honors Program offers a flexible honors experience for dual-enrolled high school students, recent graduates and current HCC students. The program supports academic and personal achievement within a time frame that fits each student’s goals.

- Eligibility: 3.2 GPA (exceptions may apply) and 6–19 credits
- Academic, transfer and career advising support
- Opportunities for faculty-led research, publication in Journal of Research in Progress, study abroad and international exchange
- Leadership development programming
- Invitation to join international honor societies such as Phi Theta Kappa
- Access to exclusive scholarships
Requirements
- Two-semester commitment
- Complete 15 credits of Honors coursework or equivalent
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA
- Attend one Schoenbrodt event each semester
- Submit a short end-of-semester reflection
