Howard Community College (HCC) will host its third annual Fall for All festival on October 17, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The free, family-friendly event falls on a day when Howard County and other Maryland public schools are closed to students, so it’s the perfect time to explore HCC and enjoy fall festivities.

Howard Community College’s (HCC) student body has spoken, and their voices have been heard! Four women majoring in business administration, liberal arts, life sciences, and cybersecurity now lead HCC’s 2025-2026 Student Government Association (SGA). “I want to focus on academic achievement within the student body. During finals, I want to ensure that we have a variety of stress-reduction events and activities, as well as designated study time,” said SGA President Christione Johnson. Learn More!

Howard Community College’s (HCC) Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center presents a milestone year showcasing the creative talents of student and professional artists. Kicking off with an exhibition from world-renowned artist Wonsook Kim, the 20th Anniversary Season offers a wide-ranging lineup of artistic experiences, including children’s theatre, modern musicals, classical music, contemporary dance, stunning art exhibitions, poetry readings, film discussions, and more.

The board will now meet on Thursday, September 25, at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually with a public meeting room available in McCuan Hall, room 201/202.

Howard Community College (HCC) announced that distinguished, bestselling author of “Bright Red Fruit,” Safia Elhillo, will deliver the free keynote at the fifth annual Bauder Lecture on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The 12:30 p.m. lecture will be in a hybrid format, both in-person at the Monteabaro Recital Hall of the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center and live-streamed on Vimeo. The 6 p.m. lecture will be held in person only at the Monteabaro Recital Hall.

The Howard Community College (HCC) Board of Trustees announces a closed session to follow the August 20, 2025, regular meeting. The board will be conducting a certain portion of its meeting in closed session under the Maryland Open Meetings Act, Title 3 of the General Provisions Article 3-303 (b). The closed session will be held in person, in The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall, room 400, at the conclusion of the regular meeting.
