The Howard Community College (HCC) Board of Trustees announces a change of date for a previously announced special meeting. The meeting, originally scheduled for December 10, will now be held on December 16, 2025, at 3 p.m. The rescheduled meeting will be held virtually via Zoom, with a public meeting room available in McCuan Hall, room 201/202.

The Howard Community College (HCC) Board of Trustees announces a special meeting on December 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom, with a public meeting room available in McCuan Hall, room 201/202. The board will be conducting a certain portion of its meeting in closed session under the Maryland Open Meetings Act, Title 3 of the General Provisions Article 3-303 (b). The closed session will also be conducted virtually.

HCC and MedStar Health have announced a new Cardiovascular Technician (CV Tech) Registered Apprenticeship Program, launching in January 2026. Through this innovative partnership, 15 apprentices will be employed full-time by MedStar Health while completing HCC’s Cardiovascular Technology certificate program. “This program is a powerful example of what happens when higher education and industry come together to meet workforce needs,” said HCC President Daria J. Willis today announced a $2.2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Title III Strengthening Institutions Program to develop the Howard Hub for Student Success, a comprehensive, integrated approach to student support services. The meeting, originally scheduled for November 12, will now be on November 18, 2025. It will still take place virtually at 8:30 a.m. and a watch room will be available in McCuan Hall, room 201/202.

Clement and Wonsook Kim have made a second major gift of $1 million to the college through their T&W Foundation, further affirming their commitment to advancing academic excellence and student success in Howard County. The Office of Facilities is responding to a substantial water main breach on the main campus. The damage is currently believed to be connected to the regional earthquake on Monday. Our work will involve significant excavation in the green area between McCuan Hall and the Kahlert Foundation Complex and will require water shut off to all main campus buildings.

Howard Community College today announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Opendorse to become the first of Maryland’s 16 community colleges to establish a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) partnership supporting its student-athletes.
