Library Services
Hours
The HCC Library is open 7 days a week. Librarians are available onsite and online to provide research assistance. The library’s hours can be accessed here.
Research Assistance
Need scholarly sources to complete an assignment? Not sure how to cite your sources? Walk into the library, and a librarian will assist you. You may also chat live with a librarian online. Librarians will help you find, evaluate, use, and cite credible sources of information.
Study Spaces
The library offers excellent spaces for both individual and group study. Individuals may study in quiet carrels, at beautiful tables with technology charging facilities, or in private study rooms.
Groups ranging from two to six people may use study rooms equipped with large-screen televisions and whiteboards to collaborate on assignments.
Parent-scholars who wish to bring their children may reserve the Family Study Room, which is equipped with a television, Blu-ray player, game table, reading and writing supplies, and books to engage children while their parents study. Parents may also check out LeapPads from the circulation desk for in-library use by their children.
Resources
The library offers a diverse collection of print and online books, streaming media, and databases.
Scientific calculators and books from the library’s main stacks may be checked out for an entire semester. Textbooks and reserved items—including phone and laptop chargers—are available for in-house use or short-term loans.
Please note: Failure to return library materials after the loan period may result in late or replacement fees. Library holds can affect course registration and the release of transcripts.
ID
To check out physical materials, students must have their HCC ID. Online resources (databases, streaming videos, audio, and digital books) may can also be accessed using HCC email.
