Students may pick up and return laptops at Duncan Hall 110 during open lab hours. For pickup, please bring your student ID that has the current term sticker on from public safety."
I would also like to update the "Borrowing Loaner Equipment" section of the Laptop Loan Support page to the following-
"Howard Community College offers semester long laptop loans for current students. To borrow a laptop please visit the lab during open hours with your Student ID that has the current semesters sticker on it from public safety. We will ask that a waiver is filled out before we loan out the equipment.

What software is installed on the computer?
The laptops are configured with all three of the major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer) and the Microsoft Office suite.
-
Can I connect to WiFi at home with this laptop?
Yes! The HCC laptop will connect to your home wireless network the same as all the devices at your house (laptops, phones, TVs). Follow these steps:
- On your desktop, click the Network icon in bottom right-hand corner of your screen. This will bring up a list of available connections.

- Find the name (SSID) of your WiFi network and click on it.
- Ensure Connect Automatically is ticked and then click Connect.
- Enter your WiFi password.
- Click OK to finish. Your computer should remember your password for you from now on.
-
How long will the battery last?
It will depend on your activities on the laptop, but expect 2-4 hours. We recommend keeping it plugged in at all times unless necessary.
