Event Management - Certificate (Career)

HCC’s one-year event management/hospitality management certificate program prepares students for entry-level positions or career enhancement in the field of corporate or social event planning or other related fields in the hospitality industry.

Students learn about a variety of professional pathways for event planning and management, including: travel and tourism; meetings and conventions; cruise ships; hotel and lodging management; and food and beverage service management. The curriculum includes both hospitality courses and hands-on experience through an internship, and follows the knowledge domains required for the Certified Meeting Planner certification exam, so those who complete the program are well-positioned to pursue this certification.
