
HCC’s Minah Woo Wins 2023 Award of Excellence

Congratulations to Minah Woo, vice president of workforce, innovation, and strategic partnerships at HCC, who was recently named winner of the 2023 Award of Excellence from the American Association of Community Colleges! Woo won this prestigious, national award in the “Rising Star-Executive” category.
Woo is recognized as the driving force behind the creation of HCC’s registered apprenticeship programs, which have created promising opportunities for students to advance their education while working, raising families, and maintaining commitments to other life obligations. The model has been instrumental in creating new pathways for learning, while also providing a strategic solution for local businesses that are growing, and committed to building the next generation of Howard County’s workforce.
