With the Health IT Fundamentals training, you can be prepared for new opportunities in Health IT. Individuals working in the Health IT field help support the use of technology in the health care setting. Specific responsibilities vary by position and may include installing and maintaining electronic health record systems, working as part of an internal IT team, performing data analytics, developing new Health IT innovations, or providing technical support to employees throughout a health care facility.

This course provides existing healthcare professionals and those wishing to enter the growing Healthcare technology field with the foundation skills to enhance their careers in a health technology position. Topics include healthcare technology applications, Healthcare Cybersecurity, Health IT Change Management, AI use in healthcare, and HIT trends. Hands-on workshops using Gemini AI to enhance workflow, and Cybersecurity Vulnerability and Penetration Test solutions are included. The course prepares individuals to utilize cybersecurity and AI to enhance organization operational effectiveness, risk management and revenue enhancement. Obtain the CAHIMS and CPHIMS certificates offered by HIMSS. All materials included in the course cost. This hybrid course meets in person and on Zoom. 2.0 CEUs
This course is a continuation of Health IT & AI Part I. In a world where data drives every decision, are you ready to lead the charge in healthcare transformation. The course provides students with the skills needed to obtain a position in the growing healthcare analytics and informatics areas. Topics include Healthcare Analytics and Informatics, Population Health, Visualization and Reporting, and Communications. Hands on workshops using Excel Analytics, Power BI, Gemini AI and R are included. The course prepares healthcare professionals, students, administrators, and change-makers who want to turn data into decisions to obtain Microsoft certifications.
