With the Health IT Fundamentals training, you can be prepared for new opportunities in Health IT. Individuals working in the Health IT field help support the use of technology in the health care setting. Specific responsibilities vary by position and may include installing and maintaining electronic health record systems, working as part of an internal IT team, performing data analytics, developing new Health IT innovations, or providing technical support to employees throughout a health care facility.

Prerequisites
This course provides an applied introduction to data analytics with a focus on healthcare and public health use cases. Students learn to work with real-world, messy datasets, clean and summarize information, and communicate insights to non-technical audiences. The course prioritizes practical skills, ethical thinking, and clear interpretation over advanced mathematics. Course prepares students to take various Microsoft and CompTIA Data Analytics certifications and a job in healthcare data analytics, informatics and EHR data analysis. All materials included in the course cost. This hybrid course meets in person and on Zoom. No refunds seven days prior to the course. 2.5 CEUS.
