Explore Greece's rich history, vibrant culture, and beautiful landscapes this summer. The program will begin with four days of intensive lectures at HCC. In Greece, students will visit some of the most important historical sites in the world, such as the Parthenon, Ancient Agora, Temple of Poseidon, Theater of Epidaurus, and Ancient Mycenae. You will experience cultural events like a dinner with Greek music, a tour of Athens's central food market, and lunch at an olive grove. Students will view the picturesque coast of Cape Sounion, the beaches of Aegina, and the seaside fortresses of Nafplio. Students will see priceless historical objects while visiting the National Archaeological Museum. Participants will stay in hotels in Athens and Nafplio, and all participants must be able to walk up to eight miles per day over uneven ground in hot temperatures.
