Overview
HCC's STARTALK Program is open to U.S. citizens that are entering high school, currently in high school, and recent high school graduates. The program supports learners at different academic stages, offering a valuable opportunity for both personal and professional development. STARTALK courses are FREE (no tuition or fees).

Exploring China’s Cultural Tapestry
Our new theme, "Exploring China's Cultural Tapestry," takes students on a journey to the rich and diverse heritage of China, showcasing its vibrant traditions, arts, history, and customs.
College Credits and High School Graduation Requirements
Upon completing the STARTALK program, students can earn 8 college credits (4 credits per class) at no cost, with tuition and fees waived. High school students also fulfill 1 World Language credit per class toward their graduation requirements.
STARTALK 2025 Year Schedule
Fall 2025
STARTALK Fall 2025 hosts Chinese 102, 201, and 202 sessions. STARTALK Chinese courses are virtually held on Zoom. Meeting Times and Schedules of classes vary on instructor.
