HCC's nursing education program, one of the largest in Maryland, is renowned for providing students with innovative, top-quality, and affordable learning opportunities to enter and succeed in the nursing field, including:
- The option of a 14-month Accelerated Nursing associate degree or the traditional two-year Nursing associate degree.
- Eligibility for associate degree graduates to sit for the RN national licensure examination.
- Direct transfer opportunities for RN degree graduates into select baccalaureate nursing degrees (BSN) in Maryland.
- An 11-month Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate program, with overlapping RN degree clinical coursework to facilitate educational and career mobility.
- Career bridge opportunities for qualified professionals meeting specified criteria to earn advanced standing in HCC’s associate degree nursing program with the Pathway Sequence programs: Paramedic to RN, and Military to RN.
- A track record of consistently high first-time pass rates for RN and LPN students on their national licensure exams.
