Class Descriptions
Tap with Miguel Ledesma
Let's make some noise! This session will provide a fun, social, and challenging tap experience geared toward the beginner tapper. Class will move through a center warm-up, rhythm and skills drills, a brief structured improvisation, and culminate in a cohesive phrase with an emphasis on syncopation and musicality.
Acro/Tumbling for Dancers with Devinne Cook
This class blends foundational acrobatic skills with dance technique to enhance versatility and stage presence. Dancers will work on flexibility, balance, and strength-building exercises before progressing to controlled acrobatic movements. Beyond handstands, we will explore the fundamentals necessary for more advanced tricks, such as head springs, back walkovers, and aerials. Emphasis will be placed on fluid transitions to incorporate these skills seamlessly into choreography.
Classical Ballet Technique with Kimmary Williams
Dancers will enjoy a positive ballet experience while they improve movement dynamics, fluidity, speed, and expression in classical ballet technique. This class will have live musical accompaniment.
House with Project ChArma
Join Project ChArma to explore your unique style in house dance. We’ll start with a focused warm-up to get you moving before diving into sequences that play with low, mid, and high-level movements.
This class emphasizes improvisation, allowing you to express yourself and connect with the music. Whether you want to refine your skills or simply have fun, this class is open to all levels. Come ready to dance and make new connections!

Show Me Your Muscles: An Anatomy Workshop for Dancers
By, Leigh Roberts, PT, DPT, OCS & Monique Watson, PT, DPT, OCS, CMTPT/DNIn this movement-based workshop, you will learn the major muscle groups of your body and how to safely stretch and strengthen each muscle group. You will integrate the muscles into dance movements and practice correct alignment with dance movements such as plie and turn out. This workshop will be presented by performing arts physical therapists from the Johns Hopkins Rehab Network. Workshop is designed for student participation, but will also be open for teachers to observe.
Video Dance with Sets & Props with Darion Smith
Get ready to create a dance film in 80 minutes. We will explore a central theme, movement qualities, use improvisation and partnering, and incorporate theatrical expression to build up short dance sequences that will be filmed and edited together. The final edit will premiere at the Student Showcase. This class will incorporate the use of props provided by the instructor.
