Event Details | HCC Faculty Concert: In a Romantic Voice

Date/Time:
Sun. Apr 26, 2026 at 04:00pm
Location:
Monteabaro Recital Hall
Details:

This joint piano solo recital offers a journey through the deeply personal and poetic language of the Romantic era, as expressed through four distinct musical voices and interpreted by multiple pianists. Schumann’s Arabeske whispers with delicacy and introspection, while Schubert’s Wanderer Fantasy surges with restless energy and sweeping unity.

In Chopin’s Barcarolle, song and motion blend into a luminous dreamscape, and Rachmaninoff’s Morceaux de Fantaisie close the program with vivid contrasts—by turns lyrical, stormy, and soul-stirring. Each work reveals not only its composer’s spirit, but the expressive heart of Romanticism itself.
