Event Details | Film Discussions: "The Holdovers" (2023)
The HCC Film Program invites you to join the Fall 2025 Friday Film Discussions, which will all be focused on movies about high school. Offered virtually, the discussion series takes advantage of as many popular streaming formats as possible to make access easy for participants. The discussion series is like a book club, but with films. Choose the films that interest you, watch them at your convenience before the scheduled discussion, and join the discussions on Friday evenings at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

In 1970, a curmudgeonly history teacher at a New England boarding school remains on campus during Christmas break to supervise held over students, and ends up forming an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker.
