
Tuition, Fees and Waivers Policy - 50.06
College Procedure Number/Title:
Howard Community College provides accessible, high-quality education at a reasonable cost to Howard County residents. As part of the annual budget approval process, the college’s board of trustees sets tuition rates and authorizes the administration to establish the necessary instructional, facility, and administrative fees.
In compliance with state law, the board of trustees will discount or waive tuition on a space available basis for specific categories of students. Students qualifying for discounts or waivers are obligated to pay all additional college fees and materials charges.
Students who are deployed military, an emergency worker impacted by a national emergency, or experiencing medical, health, or other emergency circumstances are encouraged to contact the office of records, registration, and veterans’ affairs for additional refund information.
