To commemorate Juneteenth, over 20 volunteers from the CareFirst Black Professional Network assisted the Fueling Dragons program by working in the HCC garden and food pantry, which serves roughly 450 students per month during the fall and spring semesters. "[The support] is going to be incredibly helpful. This is peak garden season, and we have so few students on campus who would be helping out and volunteering," HCC Fueling Dragons Coordinator Tricia Zadjura said. Learn More!

Howard Community College is honored to welcome Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller to deliver the keynote address at our upcoming commencement exercises. HCC President Daria J. Howard County's Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and the Columbia Housing Center (CHC) have announced a Student Rental Subsidy Program to help HCC students find and rent local housing. "This funding provides students and families vulnerable to housing insecurity the opportunity to receive assistance towards the cost of housing. Eliminating this burden allows students to focus on their pathways to success in work and life," said Daria J. Willis, president of HCC. Read More!
