Howard Community College Named One of the Best Community Colleges in the U.S. by WalletHub
Howard Community College (HCC) has been named one of the top-rated community colleges nationwide by WalletHub in their 2023 ranking of community colleges. HCC placed fourteenth out of the 668 ranked colleges. WalletHub evaluated cost and financing, education outcomes and career outcomes to determine their final rankings.
Not only was HCC recognized — Maryland community colleges were ranked the third best system in the country, with HCC being ranked as the second-best community college in the state.
Community colleges play a large role in increasing educational attainment in their communities and provide affordable, accessible, quality educational opportunities for all. With a large number of high-quality community colleges, it is no wonder that the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson area was named in the top twenty of WalletHub’s ranking of most educated cities.
