Howard Community College Named Among Nation's Best Two-Year Institutions

Howard Community College (HCC) was recently named among the nation's top two-year colleges by Niche, an online college selection and data resource for families. HCC ranked #92 among all two-year institutions and the top community college in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
"There is a lot of energy in the Dragon community about our growth and the transformative work of our mission," says Daria J. Willis, Ph.D., president of Howard Community College. "It is exciting to see that energy and enthusiasm reflected in Niche's annual rankings, and for potential students and investors to measure HCC's immense value in a variety of areas."
According to a release, Niche builds its annual rankings through qualitative and quantitative data drawn from student surveys and information provided by the U.S. Department of Education. Schools are listed based upon social, academic and economic factors like campus diversity, affordability, career mobility and quality of instruction.
It is the second top ranking announcement for HCC in recent weeks, as the college was also named among the nation's best schools for international students by Study International, and one of the nation's best two-year colleges by Wallet Hub. HCC enrolls more than 20,000 credit and non-credited students of all ages from more than 104 countries, and yields more than $343 million in economic impact as one of Howard County's largest employers.
